Most parents do their best to ensure their children grow up well-educated and happy.

Karen Whitehead has a more focused aim for her 11-year-old daughter Lucie - she wants her to be famous.

And in pursuit of her ambition to craft the little girl into an identikit footballer's wife/pop star, she is lashing out £6,000 a year on fake tan, highlights, make-up, and manicures, as well as funding singing, dancing and acting lessons six days a week.

She also encourages her daughter - who idolises model Jordan (!!!) - to wear full make-up to school, and warns the 5ft, six stone youngster to watch her weight if she wants to emulate Cheryl Cole, the Girls Aloud singer and wife of footballer Ashley Cole.

'I want her to become like Cheryl Cole,' said Mrs Whitehead, 40.

'Cheryl’s rich, beautiful and everyone loves her. It’s Lucie’s dream to be famous and I’ll stop at nothing to help her achieve it.
